Course Description

Do your kids struggle with writing? If so, this is a great class for them to discover the joys of writing! We will learn the tools needed for creative writing such as outlining a story‚Äôs plot, describing a setting, developing characters, writing powerful beginnings and endings, incorporating dialogue, understanding point of view, and practicing various types of poetry style and techniques.

Not only will your students learn these techniques, but they will get to practice them in fun and engaging assignments such as a humorous script, a novella, a speech, a memoir, a personal essay, and different types of poems.

A bound version of what that they have crafted will be presented at the end of each semester. These make great gifts...:).

This class will teach students not only to produce creative pieces of literature but also to appreciate them as we use beloved short stories, poems, and songs to aid our learning!
