Because science is simply a guided “looking-at-things,” every child can be a scientist. In this
class, young scientists will investigate the living world from animals (including venomous snakes,
fascinating insects, slimy frogs that aren’t actually slimy, and cuddly mammals) to the plant
kingdom, including flowers and growing bean plants. Using magnifying lenses and safe dissection tools and engaging in games, labs, and other activities, students will learn about organisms in all five living kingdoms. We will start with simple, yet mysterious, single-celled organisms and then progress to studying the complexities of the human being.
