Course Description

Are you looking for an engaging history class that teaches TRUE American History? If so, then look no further! When history is taught correctly, it will not be boring. Quite the contrary, it will be fun, engaging, and extremely educational. This class will encompass those 3 components as we dive into America‚Äôs beginnings and the phenomenal foundation our brave founding fathers laid that has given us the longest standing Constitution in the entire civilization of mankind. Students will research  historical documents and presenting them to the class through a variety of assessment options provided. We will create interactive notebooks, sing songs, memorize, and enjoy tasty cuisines full of rich history from colonial, ethnic, and modern American favorites throughout the semester. Your interactive notebook will become a favorite keepsake to look back on for years to come remembering all the wonderful people, places, events, trials, and tribulations that have left their mark and set our nation apart from all others. We will be learning about the Pilgrims, presidents, the founding documents, branches of government, 13 colonies, Westward Expansion, important wars and events. Perhaps these principles and concepts laid down so long ago is what makes every tribe and tongue still want to come to this great land of ours that we are so fortunate to call home. America, home of the free because of the brave!
