Course Description

This class is a fun and engaging introduction to the Spanish language for grades K5-2. Students will learn colors, numbers, classroom items, animal names, family words, greetings and polite words (and more!) utilizing flash cards, games, songs, books, art, and puzzles. We'll practice listening to, writing, reading and speaking Spanish together while building each other up in confidence.  We'll also explore the vibrant world of Hispanic culture, including Christmas traditions and authentic food, like a Three Kings Day Rosca bread! Curriculum used: Teach Them Spanish! and Skills for Success Spanish Elementary by Carson-Dellosa publishing. Some books we'll be reading in class: Un Poco de Todo, Three Friends, Tres Amigos, La Oruga Muy Hambrienta, La Historia de le Navidad, Sali de Paseo, El Gatito Miedoso, Los Padres, and Mi Familia.

This is a year-long class.
