IEW Fables, Myths, and Fairy Tales – Grade: 3-5
Imaginative and Fun! Let the stories fill the students’ heads as they learn most of the IEW units, including reports, stories, mini research reports, writing from pictures, and creative writing. Themes focus on stories which appeal to young children, such as Aesop fables, Greek myths, and Grimm Brothers fairy tales.
Starting this year, there will be writing labs with grammar as part of the class to improve student’s writing. Students will usually complete one paragraph every 1-2 week. (It is easy to adapt assignments up or down as necessary.) Vocabulary words are also included.
