Course Description

Using Apologia's Exploring Creation with General Science, 3rd Ed., we will explore broad topics such as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, geology, archaeology, biology, and more, with a large focus on Earth Science (astronomy, meteorology, oceanography, earth study, geology, paleontology, and environmental science). Hands-on experiments are included throughout, giving students practical experience as they discover the principles behind science and learn how to record and report data.  Students will learn how to complete experiments, how to identify important parts of information they read, and how to take notes. Students will learn to see God's hand in all of life as they learn about the world He made; they will also read testimonies from modern-day scientists who interpret data through a Christian worldview.
Materials required: Exploring Creation with General Science 3rd Edition Textbook
*Recommended (Not required, but very helpful): Exploring Creation with General Science 3rd Edition Student Notebook, 551 pages, softcover, spiralbound. Consumable and non-reproducible
*If not using Apologia Notebook, then students will need graphed composition book to hand write out notes, exercises, and lab reports.

I look forward to an amazing scientific exploration with your students!
