Course Description

Join us as we travel across the pond and centuries back to a place of Kings Queens, Peasants & Nobility. Creative Creatures & Co., using ‘Story of the World: Medieval Ages’ as our guide, is excited to offer a new look on traditional art history. Every 2 weeks, students will not only study an important focus of the Medieval time period (from early, high and late middle ages) but also create works of art inspired by the artisans of the time. We will be using art tools straight from the 5th-15th century as we learn to make our paint, dye our own fabric, hammer our own metal and apply gold leafing to our work.

TUITION: $255 includes all class material fees (the exception is your child will need to provide their own sketchbook that we will be filling with sketches. I just saw some great sketchbooks on sale at staples and michaels, it doesn't need to have more then 50 pages and can be any size larger then 4x6...you could even have your child make one if you are feeling creative! Please make sure it is not lined but blank paged.)

WE ACCEPT ALL CHARTERS
Excel, ILEAD, Inspire, NUA, Golden Valley, Epic, Elite, Sky Mountain, Pathways, Springs, Sage Oak, Summit, Compass, Scale (Let us know if you are with another charter and we will be happy to join)
You can find us under 'Creative Creatures & Co.' or try 'Creative Creatures and Co.'

Since our time in class is only 1 hour a week and we don't give homework we really encourage our families to purchase the SOTW book and read or have your student read the chapters we are learning about (Curriculums with chapters will be sent out before the semester starts). If you wish to follow along with us this year, I highly recommend the Story of the World book: Volume II: Middle Ages by Susan Wise Bauer. I also recommend the activity book, it is such a great book filled with recipes, map work, craft projects, stories and questions relating to the Medieval Times and is a great way to dive into the history outside of our class!
