IEW- Accepts Charter Funds
From the Anglo-Saxons to the Renaissance, from chivalrous knights to Genghis Khan, students will improve their knowledge of medieval times while learning to write with Structure and Style®.
However, this book is not intended for use as a curriculum replacement, but rather as a tool for broadening subject knowledge while teaching writing.
Each unit follows the IEW S&S unit outline structure of key word outlines, narrative stories, summarizing, etc. Thirty-two lessons teach students about “Keyword Outlines”, rough draft checklists, practice sentences, and other strengthening exercises for “polished” writing.
This Student Book includes assignments, blank outlines, source texts, checklists, vocabulary cards, and grammar helps for two levels of students—basic and advanced.
- Supplies: Each student will need two three-ring binders:
- A 1-inch three-ring binder for homework with dividers and a zippered pouch to store vocabulary cards
- A second ½ inch three-ring binder equipped with about 30 clear sheet protectors for their completed stories
