Cinematography is the art and technique of camera and lighting in the making of a motion picture film. It involves technical concerns such as camera, lens, format, and lighting instruments just to name a few, as well as various methods related to composition and subject modelling in order to tell the story.
This course teaching students how to become a filmmaker not a video production. Students must learn foundation of lighting, storyboarding, and camera before making their own film.
Students will learn how to reproduce various lighting conditions and create different moods.
By the end of the year, students will get to create a short film with emphasis in storytelling. Students will be using iPhone to shoot their film and use their own video editor to edit their film.
NOTE: Every student is required to learn how to edit their own film.
Requirements: Any cell phone camera with HD resolution. Need video editing software either for PC or Mac for film editing
