Course Description

What is Cyber Security?
Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks. These cyber attacks are usually aimed at accessing, changing, or destroying sensitive information; extorting money from users; or interrupting normal business processes. - "Cisco.com"
Implementing effective cybersecurity measures is particularly challenging today because there are more devices than people, and attackers are becoming more innovative.
The goal is to inspire youth toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and mathematics(STEM) disciplines critical to our nation's future.
 
Caustics Digital Academy will be implementing Cyber School Education consists of several interactive modules designed to excite 4-8th graders about computers and teach them basic practices for staying safe online.
  • Introduce students to safe computing practices, explaining WiFi basics, and a short session on the Internet of Things
  • Will use a combination of games and interactive activities

Required: PC laptop only. Unfortunately, all programs in this class is PC base curriculum.
