Course Description

This German course is a one-year language course designed for Beginner students who have no knowledge of the German language or who want to reinstate with the language. It strengthens students’ ability to speak, listen, write and read. Get your High School Credit for German as Foreign Language.
We design active lessons.
Students will learn the foundation of the German Grammar, will expand the knowledge to German speaking countries in Europe and learn about the cultural diversity of the German speaking world. The emphasis on improvement of oral skills will be considerable, and the student will be required to speak in the second semester on a variety of topics and in a number of questions and answers.
In the 12 lessons the students learn to introduce themselves and others. Numbers play a role because they indicate their age, their telephone number and count to 1000. They learn to talk about their interests and hobbies and write a profile about them. They get to know German-speaking countries such as Austria and Switzerland. Students learn to understand a text, get to know the school. They start to understand the daily routine, learn the time. In communication they talk about eating habits and write about their preferences, get to know food, drinks and shops. They learn to talk about family, pets and jobs. They can write an invitation and say what they can or want. Students can express themselves when they get sick and say what is wrong with them. They go into town and describe the places and activities. They can talk about celebrations and understand the theme of birthdays, get to know the seasons, months, days, holidays. They talk about activities after school. The holidays are close, and the students plan and talk about holiday destinations, write a postcard, learn how to order in a restaurant and they talk about the weather. The vocabulary includes points of the compass, holiday regions, weather, sea and mountains.
Semester tuition is $275. ( $550/school year)
A $ 100 material and study books fee is requested. Books will be ordered by the Teacher.
Kursbuch and Arbeitsbuch is Klasse!A1 and contains Audios and Videos we will download through Augmented on the cell phones. A dictionary is alo in place . This gives the student the availability to study on the go. Books will be ordered by the Teacher.
