Course Description

If you watched animated movie from Disney or Pixar and interested how Computer Animation works, this course is for you. 
This course is intended to introduce art, drawing, and computer animation concepts to students. 

This is an important for kids growing up in a digital age. With the use of “Friendly Technology”, students engage the right and left sides of their brain, improve Common Core competency, develop collaboration skills and foster communication. By the end of the class, students will learn simple modeling, textures, animation, and lighting in 3D world.
Students will be learning how to use 3D animation software called Maya. This is the same software movie industry to create visual effects and animation.

This class will be taught by Mr. Huynh. A visual fx professional works over 18 feature films including Wreck It Ralph, Chicken Little, Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, and Iron Giant. He worked for Disney Feature Animation, Warner Bros. Animation, and Universal Studios and New Line Cinema.

Required: Either PC or Mac with fast processor and Nvidia or AMD Graphics chip. I will provide more details about software, book, and other important details before class start.
